Join Greg and the team from Leafy Lytham for an entertaining and interesting talk with Liam Beddall, Head Rosarian from David Austin Roses. The session includes a talk, Q&A session and handbook of Roses.
 
During the talk Liam will share with us stories and incites in to the work of one of the finest Rose breeders in the world. He will share some of the favourite varieties for different situations and share information on the difference between shrubs, climbers and ramblers.
 
We'll cover topics to help you grow better Roses including advice on planting Roses in pots, what compost to use, basic pruning techniques and the importance of mycorrizhal fungi and Rose food.
 
For those who love the idea of having cut flowers in their garden we'll talk about Roses that make fabulous cut  flowers. Plus, for those cottage garden lovers there will be information on Companion planting and Planting in Groups often a key feature of the cottage garden style.
 
The afternoon is also inclusive of tea, coffee and a cream scone - hooray!
 
The event will be held in the upper west wing at Lytham Hall FY8 4JX on Tuesday 9th June. Arrival for 2pm for the event to start at 2:15pm. Talk approx 80-90 minutes. Tea and cake served approx 3:30pm. Event finishes 4:15pm.
